Donald F. Feldkamp

Donald F. Feldkamp, 74, formerly of Seneca, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka, Kansas. Donald was the fourth child and first son of Francis H. and Florence M. Koch Feldkamp.

He was born in Seneca, Kansas August 9, 1939. In 1946, the family moved to a farm south of Corning where Donald grew up and then graduated from Corning Rural High School in 1957. Donald worked for Wild Willie’s and 7-up Bottling Company for a few years. Donald then farmed with his father for many years. He and his mother moved to Seneca in 1979 where he continued to farm until 1981, and then he cared for his mother until 1989.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, woodworking and visiting the coffee shop.

He is survived by three sisters, Evelyn (Joe) Henry of Wetmore, Marcella (Jim) Hunter and Shirley (Darrell) Steele both of Topeka; and a brother, Robert (Linda) Feldkamp of Topeka; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis; his mother, Florence; and sister, Dolores (Don) Holthaus.

Services will be held at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca on Wednesday, September 25th at 11AM. A visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will be in the Corning Catholic Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, or to the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, in care of Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
