Craig John Boucher

Topeka, Kansas

02/05/1961 - 08/27/2022

Craig John Boucher (61) of Topeka, KS lost his battle with cancer on August 27th, 2022, in his home, surrounded by family.  He was born February 5th, 1961 in Menominee, Michigan to Faye (Larson) Boucher. He later resided in Concordia, KS.

Craig married Janette Ward of Centralia, KS on June 19th, 1982 at First Congregational Church in Centralia. They started their life together in Manhattan, KS and later moved to Topeka, KS where they raised their two children, Jena and Gwen Boucher. Craig was the definition of a family man. He was the rock that held the family together who shared his love through actions and dedication. He was calm, loving, humble, patient, and was a devoted husband and father who always put his three girls first. He was a spiritual man and full of quiet advice for those who asked. He was full of life, loved to reminisce, and loved to tell stories and jokes that were sure to make everyone laugh.

Craig worked as a supervisor and later owned a business design installation company. He was also a heavy equipment operator. Craig loved spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, boating, and a good game of poker. He loved visiting tropical destinations with a special love for Hawaii where he and his wife recently celebrated 40 years of marriage and a vow renewal with their family.

Craig is survived by his wife Janette Boucher of Topeka KS, as well as two beautiful daughters, Jena (Dale) Boucher of Wamego and Gwen (Paul) Boucher of Vieques, Puerto Rico, and his grand puppies. Craig is one of six siblings. He was proceeded in death by his two older brothers, Rick (Lynn) Boucher and Bobby Boucher, as well as his mother, Faye Larson Boucher. He is survived by three younger siblings, Wendy (Don) Aaron, Joel (Tammy) Boucher, and Michelle (Jimmy) Wilks-Baker all of Wichita. Craig was also blessed with two bonus families growing up in Concordia, the Blochlingers and Rodgers. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and was also an important father figure to significant people in his family’s lives.

The family will visit with friends and family on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. and the funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. at the Centralia Community Church east in Centralia. The burial will be in the Centralia Cemetery, following the service.

Janette and family — I am so sorry to see this. Had many fun Tuesday nights on bowling. Even when he told me I bowled like a girl, but I am sure Allen or Tom told him to say that to me. Please know I am thinking of you and family.
