Last May she fractured her leg and had been in ill health since that time. She had also been in the Sabetha Hospital and a resident of Crestview Manor care home in Seneca.

She was a member of St. Bede’s Church and the St. Ann’s Altar Society at the church in Kelly.

Survivors are four brothers, Albert, Edwin, and George Niehues, all of Goff, and Robert Niehues of Seneca; six sisters, Sr. M. Richardis, O.S.B. of Atchison, Margaret Boeckman of Onaga, KS, Antionette Hermesch of Seneca, Josepha Altenhofen of Kelly, Evelyn Hutfles of Netawaka, KS, and Erma Niehues of Goff.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard “Ben” Niehues, Jr., and John J. Niehues; and two sisters, Agnes Niehues and Alma Haverkamp.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday at St. Bede’s Church in Kelly. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Wednesday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

Memorials may be given for St. Bede’s Cemetery, and sent in care of the family.
