Keith Edward Luckeroth, 68, of Seneca, Kansas, died suddenly on May 23, 2026 at his home in Seneca.
Keith was born on January 25, 1958 in Seneca, the son of Donald and Patricia Bennett Luckeroth. He was the second youngest of seven children. Keith grew up in Seneca and attended Seneca Public Grade school and graduated in 1976 from Nemaha Valley High School.
In 1988, Keith moved to Palm Desert, California and started a masonry business with his brother. He moved back to Seneca in 2009 when his grandson was born. At that time, he went to work at Luckeroth Masonry with his brother Dean.
Along with the incredible masonry work he did in California, he also bricked and poured concrete at many homes, churches, hospitals & buildings in Seneca & surrounding towns that Keith, along with his brothers Dean and Tom have bricked. Especially noting the add-on at the SPPS church & the new parish house. It was Keith’s idea to put the cross on the front entrance to the parish house, which has received nothing but praise and applause from the members of the SPPS community.
He was a hard worker, and a master at his craft! Though he was typically pretty short on words, he loved his family with all his heart and cared very deeply about the people in his life! Underneath a very tough exterior was a very gentle soul! He will not be forgotten!
Keith was proceeded in death by his parents, Don and Pat Luckeroth, eldest brother Jim Luckeroth of California, brother-in-law Chuck Teeter of Arkansas, sister-in-law Donna Luckeroth of California, sister-in-law Terri Luckeroth of Centralia, niece Amber Luckeroth of Centralia, nephews Josiah Luckeroth of Centralia, and Liam Rider of Seneca.
Keith is survived in death by his daughter Kelsey Luckeroth Kennedy of Seneca, and his son Taylor Luckeroth of Palm Desert, California, his grandchildren Sutton Kennedy and Layla Luckeroth, his siblings: Jackie Teeter of Fayetteville, AR, Tom (Lex) Luckeroth of Seneca, Kenny Luckeroth of Palm Desert, California, Dean Luckeroth of Centralia, KS, and Joanie (Charlie) Abbey of Seneca, and sister-in-law Kelly Luckeroth of Palm Desert, California, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rosary for Keith will be on Thursday June 25, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 26 at 9:00 A.M. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca.
Memorials may be given in Keith’s memory will be to Keith Luckeroth Trade School Scholarship Fund

Some friends/classmates you remember from the minute you first met them. Keith was one such friend that I remember meeting 55 years ago on the free throw lane of the Old Seneca Public School basketball court. Keith had lined up on the Block and I was next to him on the second space hash mark. I think our Center Joe Haverkamp was shooting as he would’ve lined up next to Keith who played center for the Tigers. Keith asked me “Is he any good?”. I remember replying “Yes, he’s better than me!”. Keith snickered “That’s not saying much!”. We both laughed and it was the start to a memorable friendship that lasted as classmates for 55 years.
Thru the years, We mostly kept in touch texting each other usually around Christmas but a week before he passed I had texted him about our NVHS Class of 76 50th Reunion scheduled on 4th of July. Keith was always punctual in responding but this text message went unanswered. I didn’t think much of it as the Reunion was still a month away. When I heard Keith had passed how I wish I had his response to my message to share with the rest of our class. I’ll be giving a small remembrance speech on Keith’s behalf at our reunion and have numerous stories to share but this is the one I’m most fond of as we were just young teenage 8th graders playing ball.

Sorry to hear about Keith. I remember memories of going to their house growing up. It is hard to lose family members. I am thinking of you all and prayers are with you during this time.
Thinking of Keith’s family & friends today. Keith has always been my supportive first cousin & classmate. When I transitioned schools in junior high, I know it was so much easier because of him and his quiet support. I always looked forward to seeing him when I returned to Seneca. My daughters were so excited when they found out that Keith was their tall relative. I will miss him!
