Rosalie was born March 28, 1966, the daughter of Sylvester and Dorothy Mae Mergenmeier Koch. She attended school in Baileyville and graduated from B&B in 1984. After graduation, she helped on the family farm and was later employed by Bob’s Sirloin.

In 2006 the couple bought the Seneca Meat Market which she continued to operate until her death.

Rosie was a dedicated mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, writing and various crafts. She particularly enjoyed vacations spent in the mountains. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Baileville. Her family would like for her to be remembered for her optimistic outlook and determination and her valiant and unwavering fight to the end.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM Friday, October 23, at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Thursday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given in Rosalie’s memory to an education fund for her children, and sent in care of the family.
