George W. Ronnebaum
Centralia, Kansas
08/08/1934 - 11/05/2025
George William Ronnebaum, 91, of Centralia, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Eastridge Nursing Facility in Centralia.
George was born on August 8, 1934, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the youngest of twelve children born to George and Elizabeth (Dalsing) Ronnebaum.
On August 21, 1956, George was united in marriage to JoElla Stallbaumer at St. Patrick’s Church in Corning. He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life. This past August, George and JoElla joyfully celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Together, they made their home in the Corning and Centralia area, where they raised their family.
George was a lifelong farmer and rancher. He worked for Charlie Frye on his farm and enjoyed attending livestock auctions and visiting the stockyards. Later, he was employed by Nemaha County in the Road and Bridge Department for 14 years before retiring. Never one to sit still, George began a salvage yard business after retirement—a venture he considered more of a hobby than a job.
Family was at the heart of George’s life. He loved spending time with his large family, especially during holidays and birthdays. His greatest joy came from seeing everyone together and sharing in those special moments.
Survivors include his wife, JoElla; his children, Jane McClain (Sam) of Onaga, Dennis Ronnebaum (Bernice) of Centralia, George Ronnebaum Jr. (Tiffany) of Onaga, Donna Ronnebaum of Onaga, Betty Merriman (Scott) of Onaga, Mark Ronnebaum (Darlene) of Centralia, and Cathy Joseph of Frankfort; 39 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren, with one expected soon; along with many nieces and nephews.

Sending sympathy to the family. So sorry for your loss.
We are so very sorry for your loss and we are sending all of you our love and prayers.
I have fond memories rolling up to the junkyard hoping that George had the right parts I needed to get my high school car back on the road for the weekends. He’d haggle a little but usually let me go with a pretty good deal. May God rest his soul.
