Max Devere “Bob” Griffiths, 75, of Centralia, KS, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Lexington Park Care Center in Topeka.

Bob was born on February 10, 1934 to Gordon and Mary Warrenburg Griffiths, and grew up on a farm near Centralia. He and his dad enjoyed coon hunting and Bob had quite a collection of raccoon figures of all kinds. Bob lived in Seneca in his later years where he resided at the Nemaha County Training Center (NCTC) group home. He attended the NCTC workshop and enjoyed his friendship with staff and customers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dolores Shumaker.

He is survived by his sister, Pat (Burt) Unger and his brother, Ron (Linda) Griffiths, both of Topeka.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Friday, December 4, at the United Methodist Church in Seneca. Family will meet with friends at the church a half hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Centralia City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nemaha County Training Center or the Seneca United Methodist Church, and sent in care of the family.
