Louis E. Enneking, Jr.

Louis “Junior” E. Enneking, Jr., 80, of Seneca, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Crestview Manor Nursing and Residential Living in Seneca.
Louis was born on September 7, 1933, to Louis and Elizabeth B. Molhman Enneking. He grew up in the St. Benedict community and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in St. Benedict. He helped his dad on the family farm, his Uncle Frank and the area neighbors with their farm work.
He entered the Army March 1956, where he was a mechanic on helicopters; he was honorably discharged March of 1962.
On November 5, 1977, he married Marilyn Conley in Seneca. Junior was a semi-truck driver for most of his life, working for Hammes Trucking of Seneca. Junior and Marilyn operated the Enneking Liquor Store from 1980 to 1985. Later he worked for an oil company, and later in his life he was a Security Guard at Sac & Fox Casino.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn on February 24, 2004; a sister, Betty Ward on August 3, 1993; and a brother, Leroy Enneking on October 1, 2010.
He is survived by step-children, Glen Conley Jr of Topeka, Glenda Wilhelm of Seneca, Lyn Shughart of Topeka, Glenette Kohake of Seneca and Glenise Harcrow of Seneca and siblings, Linus Enneking, Lynn Enneking, Darlene Lechner and Marilyn Kahler all of Topeka; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10AM Monday, December 16, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rosaries will be prayed at 7 PM on Sunday, December 15th at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
Memorials may be given to Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
