Dennis E. Stallbaumer, 50, of Washington, Kansas, formerly of Sabetha
and Seneca, Kansas, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at the Centennial
Homestead Care Home in Washington,
Kansas, where he had been a resident since July 1996. He was diagnosed
with Multiple Sclerosis in 1989.
He was born September 23, 1949, at
the Seneca Hospital, Seneca, Kansas, the son of Donald P. and Teresa
Wiltz Stallbaumer. The family lived in Sabetha where he grew up
and graduated from the Sabetha High School in 1967. Dennis was employed
in Seneca at the Seneca Wholsale where he had a route delivery for
two years. In 1969 he began work at Keim Transportation in Sabetha
where he did over the road trucking throughout the USA until 1989
when he was diagnosed with MS. He moved to Seneca in 1989 before
moving to Washington, Kansas, in 1996 where nursing home care became
necessary.
In July of 1970 he married Katherine
"Kathy" Jacobs at Seneca. They were later divorced. He married Cindy
Nutsch in October of 1976, and they were divorced in 1996.
Survivors are his father, Donald
P. Stallbaumer of Seneca, his mother, Teresa Robinson of Topeka;
four sons, Shawn Stallbaumer of Falls City, Nebraska, Shannon Stallbaumer
of Herkimer, Kansas, Jason Stallbaumer and Casey Stallbaumer both
of Washington, Kansas; two daughters, Shylah and Lacy Stallbaumer
both of Washington, Kansas; a; a brother, Larry Stallbaumer of Hoyt;
four sisters Marie Latoski of San Francisco, CA, Jeanette Kocher
of Hiawatha, Kansas, Janet Glothlin of Olathe, Kansas, Lorraine
Liccardi of Topeka, Kansas, and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 10
am Monday, June 12, at St. Augustines's Catholic Church in Washington,
Kansas. Inurnment with a graveside service will be at 11 am Thursday,
June 15, at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Fidelity, Kansas.
Memorials may be given for an Education
Fund for his children and sent in care of the family.
