Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Ronnebaum

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Ronnebaum, 96, of Leavenworth, KS died on Thursday, November 19, 2009.
     Betty was born February 5, 1913,  the daughter of Pete and Gertrude Broxterman of Baileyville, KS. She attended St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lansing. She married Vincent J. Ronnebaum on February 20, 1935. They made their home in Lansing, KS. Vincent preceded her in death on June 10, 1968 at the age of 57. Betty was employed at the VA Medical Center as a file clerk for the x-ray department; she retired in 1977 after 25 years of service. After retirement she enjoyed babysitting children, and being active in the Ladies Eagle Auxiliary of Leavenworth.
     Survivors include two sons, Allen and wife Judy of Columbia, MO, and Don and wife Marcia of Marshall, MO; one sister, Trudy Palumbo of Illinois; seven grandchildren,  Dave Ronnebaum and wife Tonya, Jill Ronnebaum, Tim Ronnebaum and wife Stacy, Jennifer Heath and husband Joe, Edward Ronnebaum and wife Donna, Chad Ronnebaum and wife Tiffany, Mark Ronnebaum and wife Michelle; two step granddaughters, Carla Cecil and husband Todd, Audra Riechers and husband Jimmy; and 16 great grandchildren.
     Besides her husband Vincent, she was also preceded in death by a brother, John Broxterman, a sister, Mildred Spencer and long time friend, Mr. John Jordan.
     Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM, November 21, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. KS. There will be a rosary prayed before mass at 10 AM at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca; visitation before the rosary will start at 9 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Seneca.
