A. "Fritz" Reinecke
Fred A. “Fritz” Reinecke, 90, Centralia, died Tuesday,
October 18, 2005, at Eastridge Care Home in Centralia.
He
was born February 2, 1915, on a farm south of Baileyville, the son of
Aloysius and Anna Krogman Reinecke. He grew up there, attended school
at Baileyville, and helped on the family farm. During fall time, he
went to Iowa several years in a row to pick corn.
On September 26, 1945, he married Angela
Engelken at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. They lived and farmed
southwest of Seneca until 1950 when they moved to a farm southwest of
Centralia. She preceded him in death April 21, 1986.
He was a member of Sacred Heart
Church where he had served on the church committee. Fritz loved gardening
and had planted fruit trees. Another favorite of his was fishing. He
always worked hard and was a quiet, well respected man.
Survivors are a son, Alan and his
wife, Ann, of Centralia; two daughters, Kathleen Gutowski, and her husband,
George of Wichita, Joyce Watkins and her husband, Rex of Odessa, MO;
two brothers, Louis Reinecke of Seneca and Anthony “Tony”
Reinecke of Garden Grove, CA; a sister, Angela Tangeman of Centralia;
and seven grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded
in death by two brothers, Carl and Eugene, and six sisters, Josephine
Altenhofen, Irene Haverkamp, Hilda Reinecke, Mary Ann Reinecke, Rose
Reinecke, and Martha Stallbaumer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be
1 P.M. Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville. Burial will be
in the church cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at the Lauer Funeral
Home in Seneca at 2 and 7 P.M. Thursday.
Memorials may be given for Sacred
Heart Church and sent in care of the family.
