
Boyd
L. Osborne
Boyd L. Osborne, 77, of Seneca, died late Wednesday, June 13, 2007,
at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.
He was born on December 29, 1929 at Bigelow,
KS, the son of Venton and Agnes Boyd Osborne. Boyd grew up in Irving,
KS and graduated from Irving High School in 1948. He entered the U.S.
Air Force in May of 1948, retiring in December of 1968. He served in
Korea during the war and was assigned duty at Offutt Air Base at the
time of his retirement. Following his military service, Boyd worked
at Lincoln General Hospital for many years.
Boyd is survived by a sister, Donna Smith
of Marysville, KS; and two brothers, Gene of Sherwood, OR and Duane
of Seneca. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Hazzard and
Norma Akin.
Boyd bequeathed his body to the Department
of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
A private service for the family will
be held at a later date.
