Raymond E. Weixelman

Seneca, Kansas

07/24/1940 - 09/11/2022

Raymond Eugene Weixelman, 82, of Seneca, died on September 11, 2022, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.

Raymond was born on July 24, 1940, in Wamego the oldest son of Felix and Martha Brantley Weixelman. Raymond’s early childhood was south of Seneca; where his parents farmed several farms.  Raymond attended Seneca Public school and graduated from the 8th grade. The family relocated in 1969, to the Centralia community. After his parents passed away Raymond and Phillip went to work for Bryon Lear’s in the Bern area for several years working on the farm.

Raymond was a simple man, who enjoyed the simpler ways of life.  He never asked for anything as he was one that believed in being self-sufficient.  Raymond loved to watch western movies, loved older cars and enjoyed mowing his place in the country. Raymond and his brother continued to take care of one another and look out for each other until the time of Raymond’s death. He loved to garden and raise vegetables and live off what they raise.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Felix on March 10, 1988, and Mattha on July 8, 1987, and a brother, LeRoy on October 28, 1960.

Raymond is survived by his brother, Phillip Weixelman of Seneca.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 9:30 A.M. at the Lauer Funeral Home. The burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Seneca.

Memorials will be designated at a later date, sent in care of the family.

    i remember seeing ray and phil walk around town. i didnt know them personally. but could always tell, they were both very nice
