Jason Lee Adams, 28, of Centralia, KS, had his life claimed as the result of a two-vehicle accident on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the junction of U.S. 36 and K-236 highways about 7 miles east of Seneca.

Jason was born in Topeka on May 12, 1981 to Roger and Judy Haug Adams. He grew up in Corning and attended school in Centralia, graduating from Centralia High School in 1999. He then graduated from Manhattan Area Vo-Tech. Before returning to Nemaha County he worked for McElroy’s in Topeka, Bob Crawford in Emporia, Reeves-Weideman in Emporia and Blue Dot Services in Topeka. Jason was employed as an HVAC Technician for Eisenbarth Plumbing in Seneca since May 3, 2004.

On February 14, 2004 he married Laura Yarger at Hiawatha.

Jason was actively involved with the Centralia Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Corning Knights of Columbus Council 13394 and St. Patrick’s Church in Corning. He enjoyed being outdoors—hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling; he also enjoyed bowling, golf and baseball. He was a diehard fan of the KU Jayhawks, Kansas Royals and Pittsburg Steelers. Jason was a loving father who treasured and took delight in the time he spent with his two small children. He was well liked and had many friends whom he hung out with; he simply loved being around his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Laura of Centralia and their two children, Camden Earl and Adalei Rose; his parents, Roger and Judy Adams of Corning; his twin sister Janelle and her husband Jim Stockwell of Shawnee; his sister Brenda and her husband Ron Quigley of Corning; his brother Ryan and his wife Melissa Adams of Topeka; his grandparents, Ray and Opal Adams of Centralia and his grandmother Darlene Haug of Seneca; and 7 nephews and 3 nieces. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Kenny and Sandy Yarger of Hiawatha; and sisters-in-law, Theresa her husband Chris Whalen of Lebo, KS and Amy and her husband Jake Hill of Willard, MO.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Urban Haug on March 18, 2008 and nephew Damon L. Quigley on January 19, 2021.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Monday, August 3 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Corning. The rosary will be prayed at 2 PM on Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 PM Sunday, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Burial will be in the Centralia Cemetery.

Memorials may be left in Jason’s memory to an education fund for his children, sent in care of the family.
