Lisa Ann Johnson, 58, of Seneca, died on Sunday, July 11, 2021, her home north of Seneca.

Lisa was born on February 8, 1963, in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Gerald and Beverly Koch Johnson. Lisa attended Summerfield Public School in Summerfield, Kansas, later obtaining her GED.

She married Scott Whitmore in Summerfield; to this union three children were born, the couple later divorced.  Lisa worked at Landoll in Marysville for many years and later was employed for Fairview Mills in Seneca. Lisa was in a car accident and wasn’t able to work the last few years of her life.

Lisa enjoyed being a grandmother and was active in the lives of her grandchildren, attending their school functions and sporting events.  She was a collector of cow figurines and was a great cook. She enjoyed sudoku and search word puzzles.  Lisa was a fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, “Go Big Red.”

Lisa was preceded in death a son, Joshua Whitmore; and by her grandparents and a brother-in-law Steve Dierking.

Lisa is survived by her daughters, Tara (Ryan) Evans of Seneca and Wendi Whitmore of Seneca; her mother, Beverly Johnson of Marysville; her father, Gerald Johnson of Beatrice; her siblings, Sara Dierking of Davenport, Nebraska, Vicki (Jeff) Sutter in Beatrice, Nebraska, Mike (Angi) Johnson of Marysville, Kansas and Carmen (Mike) Lee of Marysville, Kansas; and six grandchildren and nieces and nephew.

Lisa’s Funeral Service which will be at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral, from 9 to 11 A.M. at Lauer Funeral Home.   Burial will be in the Summerfield Cemetery.
