Rose Marie Cunningham Norvell

Rose Marie Norvell (nee Cunningham), 78, died Friday, September 5, 2008 at her son’s residence near St. Louis, MO, after a battle with cancer.
     Rose was born on May 21, 1930 in Summerfield, KS to parents James and Mary Cunningham.  She grew up in Seneca, KS and graduated from Sts. Peter & Paul High School. 
     On October 12, 1961, she married Jack Eugene Norvell in Kansas City, MO.  Prior to her career as a dedicated mother and homemaker, she worked at Westinghouse and at National Bellas Hess in Kansas City.  She was a member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Independence, MO. 
     She is survived by her son Brian (Suzanne) Norvell and three grandchildren James, Alexander, and Claire Norvell, all of St. Louis, MO, as well as three sisters, Mary Hughes and Theresa Linville of Seneca, KS, and Frieda Files of Irving, CA. 
      She was preceded in death by husband Jack Norvell, and five brothers Robert Cunningham, Francis Cunningham, Joseph Cunningham, Edward Cunningham, and Jerry Cunningham. 
      A rosary will be prayed 7 PM Tuesday, September 9, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca, KS.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM Wednesday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca.
