Carson J. Niehues

Carson John Niehues, son of Lauren Niehues of Manhattan, KS, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006.
     Carson was born in Manhattan this year on July 12, 2006. Survivors besides his mother include his grandparents Roy and Lynn Geiger Niehues of Corning; great-grandmother Jean Niehues, Corning; uncle and godfather Taylor Niehues of Manhattan, and many great and great-great aunts and uncles, and cousins in Kansas and Illinois.
     He was preceded in death by grandparents Herbert Niehues, and John and Elizabeth Singer Gieger.
    The family will hold vigil at Saint Bede’s Catholic Church in Kelly from 3 to 8 pm on Friday; there will be a rosary at 7 pm that night at the church. Father Carasala will conduct a Mass of the Angels at 10 am on Saturday at St. Bede’s. There will be a private internment at St. Bede’s Cemetery after the mass.
     The family requests that no flowers be sent and have yet to designate a memorial.
