Donold E. Morris, I

Donald E. Morris, I, 76, of Centralia, KS, died Thursday, August 10, 2006, at a Topeka hospital.
     He was born May 13, 1930, at Borden, IN, the only child of Kenneth “Pappy” and Margie Stonesiffer Morris. He attended a Borden rural school. Following school, he worked as a logger with his father. He moved to Kansas and worked at Meier Brothers in Topeka as a mechanic until he retired in 1985. In 1991 he and his wife moved to Centralia.
     He was married to Debra Cobas in Jeffersonville, IN, on January 7, 1979. She survives of the home.
     Survivors besides his wife are three sons, David Morris of Olive Branch, MI, Tony Morris, of Chicago, IL, and Don Morris of Centralia; and nine grandchildren.
     He enjoyed western movies and working on lawnmowers.
     Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday at Lauer Funeral Home, where he will lie in state after 8:30 AM on Sunday. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Sunday. The burial will be in the Centralia Cemetery, Centralia, KS.
