Lindemuth
Sharon Lindemuth, Seneca, died early Tuesday morning, November 21,
2006, at the Nemaha Valley community hospital in Seneca.
She was born July 19, 1938, the second daughter to James and Lucille
(Byers) Van Gilder in Frankfort, KS. She grew up on the family farm
six miles SE of Vermillion, KS. She attended a one-room rural schoolhouse
called Windy Ridge, and later graduated from Vermillion High School
as salutatorian in 1956. She then enrolled in nursing school in Tulsa,
OK, and went on to be a nurse’s aide at Stormont Vail Hospital
in Topeka.
She married Frank Lindemuth on June 22, 1958.
After marriage she became a loving homemaker. She enjoyed gardening,
interior decorating, playing trivia, card, and board games, going to
antique stores and auctions, horseback riding, and dancing.
She is survived by Frank, her husband
of 48 years; her 4 children, Rickey of Topeka, Bret of Garden Grove,
CA, Brad (Tammy) of Manistique, MI, Rhonda (Henry) George of Keller,
TX; her grandchildren, Rickey Jr., Adam, Brandi, Kenneth, Spencer, Cameron,
Zachary, Brianna, and Lyndsey; and great-grandchild Damian.
Other survivors are her mother Lucille Van
Gilder of Vermillion; sisters Maxine (Bud) Eden of Jenks, OK, Sandra
(Charles) Allport of Beaver Creek, OH; brothers James (Karen) Van Gilder
of Centralia, Larry (Diane) Van Gilder of Topeka, and Dennis Van Gilder
Vermillion.
She was preceded in death by her Father
James Van Gilder.
Services will be held at 11 AM on
Friday November 24 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. She will
be laid to rest at Vermillion Cemetery. The family requests that in
lieu of flowers all memorial contributions be made to the Nemaha Valley
Community Hospital or the Midland Hospice Center.
