Howard J. Heiman

Howard J. Heiman, 52, of Baileyville, KS, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca of an apparent heart attack.
     He was born on February 28, 1957 to Leonard H. Heiman and Theresa C. Nordhus Heiman.  He graduated from B & B High School.  After graduation, he lived with and helped his parents on the family farm east of Baileyville, and did lawn care at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
    He was a member of Sacred Heart Church at Baileyville. Howard enjoyed collecting pocket knives and muscle cars, watching NASCAR races, and hanging out at Koch’s Station in Baileyville.
    Survivors are two brothers, Ronald of Topeka and Brent of Baileyville; and three sisters, Janet Koelzer of Seneca, Karen Scott of Topeka, and Linda Summers of Lincoln, NE.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard, on May 30, 1998 and his mother, Theresa, on December 6, 2004.
     Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 26, at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM on Monday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
     Memorials may be left in Howard’s memory to Sacred Heart Cemetery, and sent in care of the family.
