
Margaret
M. Haug
Margaret M. Haug, 91, Seneca, died Friday, November 11, 2005, at Crestview
Manor in Seneca. She had been a resident there since March 10, 1998.
She
was born July 19, 1914, on a farm south of Fidelity, the daughter of
Joseph and Elizabeth Buser Rochel. She attended high school at Seneca
for three years and graduated from Haden High School in 1932. She took
nurses training at the St. Anthony’s Hospital in Sabetha and graduated
in 1935. After working at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee,
WI, she moved to St. Louis and took a graduate nursing program at St.
Louis University from 1940 to 1943. She worked as a Public Health Nurse
in the St. Louis area from 1943 to 1948.
On August 26, 1962 she married Emmett
Haug at Immaculate Conception Church at St. Mary’s. They lived
in Seneca. Her husband, Emmett, died April 11, 1993.
She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul
Church and St. Ann’s Altar Society at the church.
Survivors are a brother, Fr. Tony Rochel, St. Louis, MO; two sisters,
Suitberta Burdick, Fidelity and Sister Mary Lawrence Rochel, Huntington,
ID.
Besides her husband, she was preceded
in death by a brother, Fr. Joe Rochel; four sisters, Clara M. Buessing,
Sister Cyprian Rochel, Sister Walburg Rochel, and Rosalia Broxterman.
Mass of Christian burial will be 9 A.M.
Saturday at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. The burial will
be in the church cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 7 P.M. Friday
at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
Memorials may be given for the Activity
Fund at Crestview or Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, and sent in care
of the famly.
