Gary B. Feldkamp

Gary B. Feldkamp, 70, of Seneca, died late Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at Crestview Manor in Seneca. Gary was diagnosed with cancer in September 2005.
He was born November 3, 1935, on a farm south of Seneca to Phillip and Ruby Welch Feldkamp. He graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul Grade School. As a young man he began working at Henry’s Ranch at Havensville, to help his family’s farm. In 1951 he and his family moved to Corning.
On September 2, 1959 he married Barbara Ellis in Minnesota. They made their home in Sabetha, and Gary worked at the Nemaha CO-OP Creamery. Gary started with Gudenkauf Rendering, which later became National By-Products, in May of 1964 and retired 34 years later in June of 1998. He worked in fabrication and as a driver. Gary continued to work part time whenever he was needed up until a year ago, as he was dependable and hard working.
Gary loved “dirt-track” car races on Saturday night. Through the years he always loved driving a “new shiny car,” either in black or red. His final pride and joy was a new burgundy Dodge Ram pickup. He loved traveling and camping, and appreciated Branson Missouri music. Gary had a special talent for working on vehicles and appliances.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara of Seneca; his brothers Ernest of Seneca and Gene of Centralia; four sisters, Phyllis Anderson of Centralia, Rita Glynn of Axtell, and DoVeta Armstrong and June Boydston, both of Centralia.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He will lie in state at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca after 8 AM Friday. There will be a visitation from 12 to 1 PM on Saturday prior to the funeral, which will be 1 PM Saturday at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Burial will be in the Seneca City Cemetery.
