
LeRoy
F. Dalinghaus
LeRoy F. Dalinghaus, 54, of Baileyville, KS, died Saturday, December
28, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, where he had been
a patient for one week.
He
was born October 28, 1948, at the Axtell Hospital in Axtell, KS, the
son of Lawrence A. and Margaret M Sudbeck Dalinghaus. Roy grew
up on the family homestead south of Baileyville, graduated from Baileyville
High School in 1966 and continued to work on the family farm.
On November 9, 1968, he married Rosalee
Holthaus at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville. Roy and Rosalee
lived on the Dalinghaus homestead, where they farmed, raised livestock
and operated a dairy. More recently, Roy was also a cattle buyer for
several corporations and farmers in the area.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church
of Baileyville. In the past, Roy participated in the Church Choir and
Knights of Columbus and on the Rural Water District #2 Board. His greatest
joy was the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He especially liked following his children's sporting events. Roy also
enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalee, and son
Ryan of the home; sons, Roger of Leawood, KS, and Jim of Baileyville;
two daughters, Vicki Dalinghaus and Angie Bingham, both of Kansas City,
MO; two brothers, Donald and Bill, both of Seneca, KS; a sister, Virginia
Winkler of Centralia, KS; and four grandchildren.
The mass of Christian burial will be 10
A.M. Tuesday, December 31, at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville. The
burial will be at the church cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at
2 and 7 P.M. Monday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
Memorials may be sent in care of the family.
