G. Allen
Vaden G. Allen, 70, of Seneca, KS, died Tuesday morning, May 9, 2006
at his home.
He
was born October 26, 1935, in Oneida, the son of Lynn and Tresa Newsham
Allen. He grew up with his six siblings and attended the Oneida School
and graduated in 1954.
After graduation he went to work for Mid America
Dairy, in Sabetha and after 44 years retired on March 20, 1998.
He married Waunita Heideman on September
29, 1956, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. They lived
and raised their family in Oneida until 1993 when they moved to Seneca.
Vaden thoroughly enjoyed fishing, golfing,
watching and coaching Little League ball, woodworking, and was a big
KU sports fan. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and St.
Joseph Society at the church.
Survivors besides his wife Waunita
are two sons, Tim and and his wife Rochelle of Woodbury, MN, and Steve
and his wife Jennifer of Lawrence; two daughters, Jackie and husband
Keith Olberding of Seneca, and Angie and husband Clem Suther of Wamego;
four brothers, Jerry, Bob, Roger, of Sabetha, and Max, of Oneida; two
sisters, Karen Hewitt of Sabetha and Shirley Allen of Topeka; and 11
grandchildren.
The rosaries will be 2 & 7 PM Wednesday
at Lauer Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian burial will be 10 A.M.
Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in
the church cemetery.
Memorials will be for Nemaha-Marshall
Catholic Charities or Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, and can be sent
in care of the family.
